Fused Deposition Modeling

FDM technology is a clean, simple-to-use, office-friendly 3D printing process.
FDM Technology was invented more than 20 years ago. FDM technology leads the 3D printing revolution having an array of approaches which appeal to large manufacturers, designers, engineers, educators and other professionals.
Thermoplastic parts can endure exposure to heat, chemicals, humidity, dry environments, and mechanical stress.

FDM Benefits

Soluble support materials make it possible to produce complex geometries and cavities that would be difficult to build with traditional manufacturing methods.
Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) Technology allows you to 3D print parts. FDM Technology’s production-grade thermoplastics have the impact strength and durability to withstand the stress of tough functional prototyping FDM or Fused Deposition Modeling is an extrusion based additive manufacturing technology. FDM is ideal for short run manufacturing with quick turnaround times.

How FDM Works

3D printers that run on FDM Technology build parts layer-by-layer. The thermoplastic material is heated to a semi-liquid state, while applying it according to computer-controlled paths. FDM uses two materials to execute a print job: modeling material, which constitutes the finished piece, and support material, which acts as framework. Once the 3D printer has completed building, the operator breaks the support material away or dissolves it in detergent water, and the part is ready for use. FDM material builds professional-quality models, prototypes and parts in a range of production-grade thermoplastics.

Is It Useful?

At Additive Manufacturing Solutions LLC, we do not believe in technology for technology’s sake. While we remain driven to stay on the cutting edge, we are always mindful that everything we produce should represent an improvement upon what is tried and true.

3D Printing Advantages:

Reduce Development Cost,

Speed, and Time To Market. Located in Michigan.

Is It Understandable?

Our team makes the latest, greatest technology understandable to anyone who can use it. After all, when you need innovation, you need it now. You should not have to dig through a library of technical manuals to get something done.

Many manufacturing cycles begin with a tangible replica. We can use scans to create new molds, castings, and fixtures. We can make matching copies of old parts as well as rapidly create prototypes with our 3D printer.

3D printing is a rapid prototyping technology which produces high-resolution models. 3D printing is best suited for prototypes. In a single build, 3D printing provides parts with incredible details.

At Additive Manufacturing Solutions LLC, 3d printing advantages, is it better? We do believe it is better.  While we remain driven to stay on the cutting edge, we are always mindful that everything we produce should represent an improvement upon what’s tried and true. Additive manufacturing has certainly broken into the mainstream media. For engineers and researchers looking to quickly produce prototypes of their design ideas however, 3d printing is the next great thing.

Good Value?

With Additive Manufacturing Solutions LLC, you will find we not only talk the talk, but walk the walk. The fact that we enjoy the same technology we produce should highlight the fact that we are serious about bringing only common-sense solutions to the market.

3D Printing Advantages
  • Increased Innovation
  • Improve Design Communication
  • Reduce Development Cost
  • Speed Time to Market
  • Quick Production at Minimal Cost

Many professionals such as industrial/manufacturing/mechanical designers use prototypes to understand the functionality of a product and the aesthetic value. Along with marketing models/samples, 3D printing gives you the product to test with minimal time and minimal financial investment. It allows the designers to get that much closer to a final product within hours or days.
